Propane Cylinder Refill and Recertification

P&R Propane makes it easy to always have a full propane cylinder!

Propane Cylinder Refill and Re-certificationThere is so much to love about living here in Texas. One of those things is the abundance of opportunities to enjoy our great outdoors.

Propane is a part of much of that enjoyment. Propane cylinders power more than half the grills in the U.S. But that’s only the beginning! They are also used for deck and patio heaters, firepits, and outdoor fireplaces, making your backyard a destination to share with loved ones.

You may be accustomed to exchanging your empty propane cylinder for a full one, but there’s a growing trend that’s worth your attention — propane cylinder refills.

P&R Propane provides propane cylinder refill service during regular business hours at our office, located right below the water tower at:

14251 TX State Highway 29 in Liberty Hill (Get directions)

Propane cylinders are used by RVers for powering refrigeration and heating inside the RV, and more. Campers use propane cylinders for camp stoves and tent heating.

If you’re an RVer, it’s easy to get a refill from us, as our parking lot is more than large enough for you to pull in and turn around.

We also offer propane cylinder recertification for safety and peace of mind.

Why refilling is a better choice than a propane cylinder exchange

Propane cylinder refills are becoming an increasingly popular choice among those who use propane for various purposes. Whether you’re an RVer, a homeowner or an outdoor enthusiast, refilling your propane cylinder offers numerous benefits over traditional exchange services.

Lower cost: Refilling your propane cylinder is generally cheaper than exchanging it. Exchange services often charge higher prices per gallon. By opting for a refill, you can save a significant amount over time, especially if you frequently use propane during your travels.

Convenience: Many RV parks and campgrounds offer propane refill services on-site. This means you don’t have to go out of your way to find an exchange location. Additionally, refill stations like P&R Propane’s are often located near popular travel routes, making it easy to top up your tank while on the go.

No waste: When you exchange a propane cylinder, you might not always get a full tank. Refilling ensures that you get exactly what you pay for. You can also choose to refill partially empty tanks, allowing you to top off your propane supply without wasting any fuel.

Propane recertification protects you, your property and your loved ones

Propane Cylinder Refill and Re-certification

We put safety first and foremost here at P&R Propane. Our customers are our neighbors, and we care about you.

That’s why we also provide propane cylinder recertification at our Liberty Hill office. Proper propane cylinder recertification is crucial for the safety and efficiency of your outdoor adventures, RV trips, grilling sessions and outdoor usage, like for firepits or outdoor fireplaces. Recertifying your cylinders guarantees that they meet safety standards, saving you money in the long run and reducing your environmental impact.

According to DOT regulations, propane cylinders must be recertified 12 years after the manufacture date. Following the initial recertification, cylinders need to be inspected every five years.

It’s essential to check your propane cylinders regularly for signs of wear or damage. Look for rust, dents or any form of corrosion. If you notice any issues, it’s a good indicator that the cylinder needs to be recertified. Additionally, always check the certification date stamped on the cylinder’s collar to know when it’s due for recertification.

However you use propane cylinders, P&R Propane is your go-to for refills and recertification. Contact us to learn more.
